Belle Epoque: Set in 1931, a time of vow and optimism in pre-Franco Spain, this pleasantly earthy, glad comedy informs of a hearty youthful army defector Sanz who’s befriended by an older recluse, and captivated by his 4 gorgeous baby girls. Cast includes Fernando Fernan Gomez, Jorge Sanz, Maribel Verdu, Ariadna Gil, Miriam Diaz-Aroca, and Penelope Cruz. (108 minutes, 1992)

Rhino: Redirecting of African game hunting hogwash, with a passionate cast, excellent action scenes. Cast includes Robert CuIp, Harry Guardino, Shirley Eaton, and Harry Mekela. (91minutes 1964)

Lilith: (1964) 114Somewhat loyal rendition of debatable J. R. Salamanca novel in regards to a novice therapist who falls in love with a bothered subject. Lilith is an investigating, if not completely pleasing, look at the numerous aspects of madness and love. This would be director-author Rossen’s last film. Cast includes Warren Beatty, Jean Seberg, Peter Fonda, Kim Hunter, Jessica Walter, Anne Meacham, and Gene Hackman. (114 minutes, 1964)

Plenty: Reproduction on screen of David Hare’s play regarding a British female who (like Britain itself) experiences her finest hours throughout WW2, performing for the underground, and on no account finds contentment or delight the remainder of her life. Excellent acting, and minutes of insight and humor couldnt conquer the boring personality of Streep’s character. Schepisi makes phenomenal use of widescreen. Cast includes Meryl Streep, Charles Dance, Tracey Ullman, John Gielgud, Sting, Ian McKellen, Sam Neill, and Burt Kwouk. (124 minutes, 1985)

Sugar Hill: Somewhat offensive melodrama featuring Snipes and Wright as Roemello and Raynathan Skuggs, drug-trading siblings in Harlem. Unlike the more eager Raynathan, the lone, soulful Roemello craves for an occupation change. Cast includes Wesley Snipes, Michael Wright, Theresa Randle, Clarence Williams III, Abe Vigoda, Larry Joshua, Ernie Hudson, Leslie Uggams, and Khandi Alexander. (123 minutes, 1944)

Payday: Acerbic, vibrant picture of life on the street with a conceited, selfish country and western music megastar, a jerk who calls on his supervisor to “fix” some complications that crop up during the concert tour. One of those prototypical early1970s films that makes modern American movie theater come across bland. Cast includes Rip Torn, Anna Capri, Cliff Emmich, and Michael C. Gwynne. (103 minutes, 1973)

Rock Pretty Baby: A Mock-up of stone n twirl entries of 1958 rotating around high school stone group’s’ attempt to triumph large-time lyrical competition. Cast includes John Saxon, Luana Patten, Edward C. Platt, Fay Wray, Pole McKuen, Shelley Fabares, and George Winslow. (89 minutes, 1956)

Downhill: This film charts a gentleman’s spiritual skid, beginning while, as a schoolboy, he is disowned by his family after an indiscretion with a gal, and later as an adult while his spouse wastes away his inheritance. Lesser Hitchcock film still shows the master’s visual ability. Cast includes Ivor Novello, Ben Webster, Robin Irvine, Sybil Rhoda, Lillian Braithwaite, Isabel Pants, and Ian Hunter. (95 minutes, 1927)
