The Single Most Cost Effective Way Of Selling Your Products?

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Promotion is critical to building your business. If nobody knows about your services and products, then you’re not marketing correctly. Not all methods of promotion are as cost efficient as others. So what’s the most cost effective way of promoting to potential customers?

There a lot of conventional methods of promoting your company. Some examples of conventional advertising include TV and radio. However, these are usually very expensive and reserved for people wanting to build a brand. Otherwise, if you’re on a smaller budget, I’d suggest building an international brand should be low down on your list of priorities. What you should be concentrating on is getting your message to a few of the right people.

Even the most expensive branding campaigns can be enormous flops.Even if a branding campaign is successful, people quickly forget your brand once it disappears from TV or radio. For the best results, you need to keep promoting and to remain in the minds of your potential customers.

I believe it’s better to concentrate on a smaller audience if you know they are likely to buy your products and services. Existing customers are a great place to start if you want to promote continously to a small group of people who you know will be interested in your services. They are already familiar with your products and have already been convinced to buy. So, with the hard work already done it’s just a matter of keeping your brand in front of them.

One of the best tools I’ve seen recently is the custom calendar. It’s great for the following reasons:

  • - it’s a tremendously helpful item
  • - people will refer to it on a regulard basis
  • - it is published with your logo
  • - it keeps your logo and brand name in front of existing customers on a regular basis

Looking for a custom calendar for your business? I’d recommeng taking a look at aglobalworld.com which produces customized paper products for all sizes of businesses. Their calendar can be totally customized to suit your needs, if it’s just a logo you want or all sort of other bells and whistles. Check ‘em out!

Let Your Creativity Shine

In many ways promotional torches are not expected to do much; they are not expected to function on the same level as a much more expensive torch, nor are they expected to have the same level of durability or longevity. In short a promotional torch is really only expected to be a cute little knickknack that your company distributes as part of a larger campaign to get your name and brand out there. Well to some this may seem like a drawback in fact it is not.

While you are deciding on whether or not a promotional torch is worth your budgeting money it is important to remember that you are not purchasing these items for their functionality, but instead focus on the novelty value of the item. When you are purchasing promotional torches, for novelty, then you have just opened up a wide range of creative design options. These creative option would not be available for many of the more functional promotional items, which makes your promotional torch even more unique. A promotional torch should not be thought of as an item that can be utilized by a plumber while he is fixing your sink.. Instead you need to think of the exposure that creativity of your promotional torches will bring your company, while the recipient is shows it off to friends, family and co workers.

If you were a company that would prefer a more serious torch, then you are truly limiting your options. A study promotional torch will limit your creativity and you will never be able to design a hot pink tropical fish. However, as a promotional torch, business that deal with fish, or even a cruise line can design a promotional torch, shaped as a fish to promote their business. With a creative shape and design your promotional torch has just went from a disposable promotional item, to a promotional item that may be keep in draws and brings attention your business.

Beyond interesting and fun shapes for your promotional torches you may wish to consider actually changing the color of the light itself. Because promotional torches are more likely to use LESs than incandescent bulbs in the designer can with relative ease call for a colored LED to take the place of a white one. Naturally for normal torch this would be absolutely ridiculous as a colored LED is much more difficult to use for actually seen something clearly, however since this is a promotional torch, possibly even a key chain, let your imagination go wild and choose any color light that fits your corporate image.

An interesting possibility could even be using a tricolor light that packs a red green and blue LEDs in the same package. These will likely be an order of magnitude more expensive than a traditional white light, however some situations require you to create a bigger impression. If you are passing out your promotional torches at a normal trade show then you’ll probably want to go with a white LED light, however if your company is attending the biggest event of they year then you may wish to invest the extra money and really make a promotional torch that will leave a lasting impression. It can be said with almost absolute certainty that a tricolor promotional torch will not be headed straight for the dustbin at the end of the convention.

Finding out more about portrait photography

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

A portrait, also known as a portraiture, is a photo centering on a person or small groups facial expression while they are in a still position. The personality, mood and likeness of the person or group will be presented. Portrait photography does not always have to have just the face in the picture, the whole body and background can be included as well. When taking a portrait photo the person or group is generally looking strait at the camera.

Unlike other styles of photography, portrait photography doesn’t usually include models. Graduations, special events and weddings are types of occasions where portrait photography is used, and later displayed in private homes.

History of Portrait Photography

People have been using portrait photography ever since the camera was invented. It was, and is more inexpensive way then having your portrait painted and it is a more available method. Natural light was used from an open window and people would sit against the background. Portrait photography can now be more creative with the way technology has evolve since they can adjust light and move around more.

Styles

Portrait photographs can be done in a studio where the photographer can adjust the light when capturing portraits. They can change the direction and the intensity. Different lighting terms are kicker lights, fill lights, background lights and the main light. The most important light source is obviously referred to the main light. The main light is generally positioned above or below the subject and at a 45 degree angle. The main light can create shadows so the fill light helps to eliminate them. The kicker light is the light that brightens up the hair of a subject. This will help to add depth and to show the separation from the subject and the background. A Background light brightens the background and can add effects to the backdrops.
