How can Digital OOH Advertising Benefit a Retailer?

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

With the amazing advancements in technology, businesses are now taking advantage of digital methods of advertising. This has lead to an increase in digital out-of-home (OOH) advertising. A 2007- 2008 Digital Out-of-Home Media Awareness and Attitude Study revealed that 63% of people surveyed reported that place-based digital advertising catches their attention more than any other media, including advertising on television, the web and other forms of tradition media such as newspapers, magazines, and radio.

Digital OOH advertising can benefit a retailer in the following ways:

- OTX (Online Testing exchange) conducted a national survey with consumers where people reported that this media was one of the most unique and entertaining ways to capture their attention. Capturing consumers attention is essential for increasing sales.

- Digital OOH advertising offers advertisers flexibility and target-ability in order to reach consumers.

- Businesses can target consumers outside of their homes.

- Advertisers can deliver appropriate messages based on where the advertising screen is located. They have the ability to advertise in places where people travel throughout the day. This can include supermarkets, clothing stores, malls, coffee shops, fitness centersetc.

- There is no better place for a consumer to receive a message than when they are in a store. POPAI research has shown that as many as 70% of buying decisions are made in a store Digital OOH is effective when targeting consumers who are just browsing in a store.

- Average recall rates for digital and video out-of-home advertising networks has been reported as about 40 percent. Traditional media recall rates are lower: television (32%), radio (27%) and magazines (21%) * Source: Advertising Made Easy and Effective, By Lyle Bunn March 2009,USA Today

- There are improved and reliable audience metrics and accountability

- In large department stores or shopping malls, digital out of home helps retailers to create highly targeted messages to consumers based on screen locations within the departments. They also have the ability to place screens in high traffic locations, in specific demographic profiled areas, and near the area where the actual product is being sold. They can also place screens in store front windows and run the ads 24/7.

- Advertisers can target almost any demographic or socio-demographic group.

- When done correctly, consumers will be provided with useful information and content that fits their lifestyle and needs.

Because of the consumer is outside, they are closer to where the products are located. This can result in a quicker decision to make a purchase. No other media offers the ability to target consumers when they are so close to the point of sale.

- Advertisers can continue a relationship with consumers by regularly updating their ads. Because this method of advertising is relatively new, it is very cost effective.

- By targeting a specific audience, businesses will reach only the consumers who are likely to buy their product. A well thought out, creative, and well-planned campaign will eliminate advertising waste and save businesses a lot of money.

- Consumers approve of digital OOH advertising. Research conducted by Edison Media Research showed that reaching mobile consumers in multiple places during their weekly routines resulted in 59% of respondents who saw the ad reporting that they were interested in learning more about the service.

In order to maintain a successful business, advertisers have to keep up with changing technology and lifestyles. Digital OOH has been steadily convincing businesses to recognize the benefits of this form of advertising. Marketers are now seeing a boost in product sales, more engaged customers, and an increase in advertising campaigns. Digital out-of-home advertising is the future of efficient, creative, and cost-effective marketing campaigns.

The movie reviews are listed below. Type in phrases like “DVD Film Download”, or “Downloading Online Movies” and see what you find. Do not hesitate in trying additional searches, punch in “Movie Rental Service”, and see what that brings up.

Thunderheart: There have been a number of killings on the Sioux Indian Reservation. The FBI goes in to deal with the situation. One agent, Ray Levoi, has Sioux blood. As he investigates the case he soon realizes there is much more going on than some random killings.

I Love You to Death: Cast includes Lumpy black comedy in regards to a gregarious Italian-American pizzeria owner whose continuous womanizing continues to be a secret to his spouse-till one night while she comprehends the reality, and then tries to slaughter him, with phenomenal absence of prosperity. Kline is fun and Plowright is comical as his mordant, Slavic mother in-law, although regrettably, the film goes flat. Controller Kasdan plays a barrister in the closing scenes; Kline’s genuine-life spouse, Phoebe Cates, has an unbilled part as one of his one-day stands. Remarkably, based on a genuine-life couple! Cast includes Kevin Kline, Tracey Ullman, Joan Plowright, River Phoenix, William Hurt, and Keanu Reeves. (79 minutes, 1990)

Vantage Point: Shortly after arriving at the global warming summit, U.S. President Ashton is shot. In this unique perspective film, we replay the events from four different vantage points, as we try to figure out what actually happened. Stars Dennis Quaid, Sigourney Weaver, and Forrest Whitaker.

Bullets or Ballots: Cop Robinson makes believe to leave patrol force to fracture citywide mob ring run by MacLane. Here is a good mobster movie. Cast includes Edward G. Robinson, Joan Blondell, Barton.MacLane, and Humphrey Bogart. (81 minutes, 1936)

Larry the Cable Guy: Whitney brings his blue-collar “Larry” personality-a beer-bellied, foulmouthed, endlessly dimwit-to the monitor in this low-lease, low laugh-quotient comedy in regards to a bungling well being inspector who examines a succession of eatery chow poisonings. “Larry” fans and aficionados of redneck humor might rate this higher. Cast includes Dan Whitney, Itis Bahr, Bruce Bruce, Joanna Cassidy, Brooke Dillman, Tony Hale, Tom Wilson, Joe Pantoliano, Baby Stone, and Jerry Mathers. (89 minutes, 2006)

The Curse of Frankenstein: Alright retelling of primordial Shelley story, with Cushing as Tycoon von Frankenstein, whose testing with creation of life gets to be a fixation. This is the first of Mallet Films for a long-running terror succession. Cast includes Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Hazel Court, Robert Urquhart, and Valerie Gaunt. (83 minutes, 1957)

Me Of Honor: This movie tells the true story of the first Black American Naval Master Diver. At first his worst nightmare, Master Chief Billy Sunday becomes his biggest ally in his fight to complete the course. In his struggle he overcomes and terrible injury, racism, and tons of other problems as he takes on impossible odds.

Black Mask: Biologically machinated wonderful-cadet Li gives up a tranquil life to battle his comparably improved prior colleagues, who are trying to take over the Hong Kong embrace rackets. Clever, fashionable, lightning paced thriller is a superlative showcase for the illuminating abilities of Li who, in his camouflage, looks like the Green Hornet’s Kato. Re-cut and modified from 106 Cast includes Hong Kong rendition. Cast includes Plane Li, Karen Mok, Francoise Yip, Lau Ching Wan, Patrick Lung Kang, and Anthony Wong. (96 minutes, 1997)

Hanky Panky: Blameless designer Crazier is pursued by snoops, cops, etc. Unsurprising, hardly ludicrous comedy-thriller, with Radner miscast as the love interest. The film was meant to be a follow-up to Mix Insane, although Richard Pryor’s part was revised for Gilda. You’ve seen it all before, and more superior. Cast includes Gene Crazier, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard Widmark, Robert Prosky, Josef Sommer, and Johnny Sekka. (88 minutes, 1982)

Remember, be creative and use phrases like “Films Online”. If the first search proves ineffective type in something different. See if “Movie DVD Video Rental” gets a better result.

What Mistakes Are Made In Online Business

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

I’ve seen many newbies fail and there are always the same mistakes they make. Despite these mistakes, every single time a person will make them perhaps even knowing them. So why the newbies are so stubborn and don’t learn from other people’s mistakes?

Perhaps it’s all due to human nature to try things and experience things by themselves. When you suspect something to be wrong but you never tried it, and your desire is big, you will most likely try it. Online business is very apt for this because it’s so easy to do things, right and wrong.

The first common mistake is jumping from one thing to another. There are many opportunities online and it’s easy to buy yet another program and learn new things. It’s also very exciting. Unfortunately, after reading a course or watching videos of a new program, newbies come across another new shiny program to play with. And the story goes on.

If we were to concentrate on one thing and actually applied the program we just took, we would achieve results. We would not dump it and for get about it. We would practice what we’ve learned and we would see the results we want. Indeed, practice makes perfect.

The other mistake is quitting too soon. When a person starts online business, they want to make money as fast as possible and quickly get discouraged if they don’t. As much as it’s hard to believe, almost always they quit when they’re about to get a momentum.

The momentum is very important. When you’re just in the very beginning, everything seems hard. But once you get the momentum, you get the hang of it and it goes effortlessly.

These look like simple to avoid. Unfortunately, most of the time they become the obstacles too hard to overcome. And to many, that means giving up without even giving it a good try.

How To Get Visitors To Your Website

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Is it possible to get infinite hits to your site, starting from scratch? First Of All this is not any trick as it is absolutely possible to do this. Next, never under value this visitor turnover as these people are extremely motivated who hold the biggest potential to become your future clients. The way I look at it is that these targeted visitors should be taken to some place.

Ideally this should be your web site and in case you do not yet own one, it is time to get one put up. With that being said, here are your 2 secret tricks to help you achieve this.

Search for keywords, which you can rule over

If the idea of spending a few hours a day on research does not excite you too much, you should listen to this. One of the things, which you simply cannot avoid, is research for keywords and this should be your number one priority. Obviously the alternative tip could be scanning the forums. Truthfully, for anyone from a novice level to intermediate (if you have less than 2,500 unique traffic hits to your internet site per month) you should go in this direction. Spending even 5 hours a week doing good thorough keyword research on long tail keywords that you can dominate is a healthy investment of your time.

You might want to beg to differ that you can employ someone to do this for you but you know your markets best. All you need to do is to put yourself in the shoes of your customer and think what phrases he or she would type to locate solutions on the internet for his/her typical problem and you could easily land up with 100 keywords in no time.

Massive Action In Your Traffic Strategy (Writing).

I read in a book once that says authority simple means a breakdown of “authority”, which means you have to be some kind of writer online if you want to be successful in generating traffic. It is a fact that authors also make great speakers and some speakers are very highly paid, sometimes 1,000 an hour simply to speak on some subject.

In case you are in a dilemma whether it would be possible for you to write a small paragraph of content, read this. You can do it because you are already writing everyday just that you write it verbally. You are communicating verbally all the time, to your friends; fellow workers loved ones and even to your pet.

Secrets of becoming a writer

Start writing just the way you talk and soon you would find that you are actually writing traffic generating copy matter like press releases, articles and content for your site for SEO purposes. Before you know it you could have over 4500 exclusive traffic hits to your site.

Film starts out entertaining however eventually gets to be ridiculous as the nubile youthful sufferers should quarrel back to become human once more. Already un-contemporary image is set at the now-defunct Craig Kilborn chat show, where Ricci is investing in what sounds like nights prepping an interview with Scott Baio. It’s that sort of film, people. Cast includes Christina Ricci, Portia de Rossi, Mya, Shannon Elizabeth, Solar, Daniel Edward Mora, Jesse Eisenberg, and Joshua Jackson. (97 minutes, 2005)

The Blob: Endearingly campy classic of inexpensive ’50s sci-fi has “Steven” in his first featuring role leading adolescents into battle to spare their tiny town from being swallowed up by mammoth glop of cherry Jell-O from outer space. Not seriously all that excellent, although how might you dislike a film like this? Cast includes Steven McQueen, Aneta Corsaut, Earl Rowe, and Olin Howlin. (86 minutes, 1958)

Sgt. Bilko: An army comedy with Steve Martin, Dan Akroyd and Phil Hartman. Sgt Bilko does basically everything but army duties with his platoon of soldiers. Life in Sgt. Bilko’s army is quite nice. That is until Major Thorn shows up and tries to spoil the fun.

Blindfold: Appealing cast stumbles in film that wavers from comedy to puzzle. Dry scenes appear incongruous as Hudson involves in global espionage with a recognized scientist. Cast includes Stone Hudson, Claudia Cardinale, Jack Warden, Gentleman Stockwell, and Anne Seymour. (102 minutes, 1966)

Life With Mikey: Prior kid Television megastar Fox lackadaisically runs a Manhattan ability firm for babies with his more committed sibling. Then he tries to turn 10-year old pickpocket Vidal into a megastar of cookie ads and finds himself fired up in the format. Ludicrous film, with earnest overtones, is an exact vehicle for Fox and appealing newcomer Vidal. Audition scenes are specifically excellent. Cast includes Michael J. Fox, Christina Vidal, Nathan Aisle, Cyndi Lauper, David Krumholtz, and Tony Hendra. (91 minutes, 1993)

Abby: Carol Speed, William Marshall, Austin Stoker, and Juanita Moore star. This is a dark film dealing with exorcism. In that sense this film is similar to The Exorcist. Abby is the wife of a minister and the daughter in law of another man of the cloth. She is possessed by the devil. (1974 drama)

Black Hawk Down: Harrowing dramatization of the catastrophic 1993 U.S. mission in Somalia that concluded in the deaths of eighteen American cadets. Characters and partisan structure take a backseat deliberately to the malicious battle scenes, re-made in cruel detail by Scott, cinematographer Slawomir Idziak, and a team of technical magicians. Not for the faint of heart. Cast includes Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Tom Sizemore, Eric Bana, William Fichtner, Ron Eldard, and Hugh Dancy. (143 minutes, 2001)

If your looking for downloads, type in “Online Movie Downloads” to a search engine, see if you find something good. A change in the phrase will sometimes get a better result. Try “Online Movie Streaming” next.

The Prophecy: Seminarian Koteas relinquishes the temple throughout his own ordination to become a homicide cop. Eventually he’s examining why Stoltz has killed an eyeless hermaphrodite with the physiological profile of an aborted fetus. There’s either too much mumbo or too much jumbo in this oddball terror picture. Give it perverse points, albeit, for managing to work in a Korean Battle subplot and for projecting Walken as the life saver Gabriel. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Elias Koteas, Virginia Madsen, Eric Stoltz, Viggo Mortensen, and Amanda Plummer. (93 minutes, 1995)

Illuminata: Life, love, lust, and aspiration in a theatrical troupe in tum-of-the-2Oth century N.Y.C. al1hough the flavors are uniquely European. Playwright Turturro is in love with the corporation’s megastar/supervisor, and longs to have her act his latest play. Energetic, even campy, roles for a fine cast kindle this excellent-looking however often lumbering production, which plays like a French charade in dull motion. Cast includes Jolm Turturro, Katherine Borowitz, Susan Sarandon, Christopher Walken, Rufus Sewell, Beverly D’Angelo, and Donal McCann. (111 minutes, 1999)

Blood Rage: Grinning, sword-wielding, blind Vietnam vet Hauer whittles up poor gentlemen, spares a baby, and even fights with his mentor in this brash, vigorous although floundered try to Americanize Japanese “Zatoichi” films. Hauer is impeccably cast, and the film is amusingly tongue-in-cheek, however it doesn’t entirely work. Cast includes Rutger Hauer, Terrance Terry O’Quinn, Brandon Hail, Lisa Blount, Charles Cooper, and Rick Overton. (86 minutes, 1990)

Double Jeopardy: Set up to take the fall for her husband’s death, she is sentenced and serves time. Once released from prison she learns that her husband isn’t dead at all. With double jeopardy in play if he kills him now, she can’t be convicted of the crime.

Sugar Hill: Bey plays the Ludicrous “Sugar” Hill, who avenges the mob’s rubout of her fianc’, summoning up black zombies from the grave. Here is a bizarre mix of reprisal, and witchcraft factors. Cast includes Marki Bey, Robert Quarry, Don Pedro Colley, Richard Lawson, Betty Anne Rees, and Zara Cully. (91 minutes, 1974)

Searching For Bobby Fisher: Gripping, surefooted tirade, based on a real tale: A dad finds that his seven-year-old child has a prodigy for chess, and enters him in opposition, trailing scene of what this does to the boy’s conscience-and his pristine pleasure of the game. Poignant, heart-rending at times particularly for some parents and extremely well finished. The screenplay is by first-time director Zaillian, from the novel by Red Waitzkin, who’s the genuine-life chess whiz’s dad. Cast includes Joe Mantegna, Max Pomeranc, Joan Allen, Ben Kingsley, Laurence Fishburne, Tony Shalhoub, and Austin Pendleton. (110 minutes, 1993)
