Wednesday, April 8th, 2009Blogging -It is really just an extended equivalent of what you would call, “word of mouth” business. Overall, blogs are where the public gives direct input and it gets updated regularly. This should prove cost effective for your company and is becoming more popular and credible with the consumer.
Business Cards -Let me say this first. You should have business cards on you at all times. If you’re the business owner or a representative this is your companies front line of communicating your product or service to the people that would use it now or possibly want to use it in the future. Last time I checked business cards were also two sided. You can use this extra space as an opportunity to include more information for your company.
Email -This will help to remind the customer that you are still out there thinking of their needs. And doing what you can to make sure they have the most current information at hand. Providing this is a low cost, effective way for you to market any changes going forward in your business. Decisions and changes are made everyday by people running businesses. Make sure you let them know you appreciate their patronage and that you want their continued business. You will find this to be an excellent and effective way to attract new business.
Networking -To be connected at the top isn’t always the perfect scenario. You also want to maintain a high number of connections. This will help enable you to stay connected in the marketplace. Today, you need to reach more possible customers then ever before. Your existence and business may count on it. Especially if you are a small or local company networking could be your lifeline to sustaining or future growth. Check your area to find groups or affiliates that would be a good fit to your business.
Referrals-If you give good customer service no matter how hard you worked to get their business. You should have a customer that is happy they did business with you. This will go along way especially if you helped to solve a problem for a customer. Customer service is lacking today so when we do get it we appreciate it. And guess what we will tell other people. The extra work you do today leads to a referral tomorrow. If it’s working for you don’t stop. Also, make certain that you perform well for the people that you do business with because of a referral
Signs- There are different types of signs today that are being utilized dependent on your budget and also what type of business that you are in. Starting off with the roadside sign that usually appears at the busy corner of a street. Next are the billboards that we all pass everyday in our travels. The local building business sign that are typically posted directing you to the actual business whatever the location might be. Mobile signs are still in use on company vehicles. The wrap around being the new trend that you might see on a passing automobile. Don’t for get the bus billboards. This is a way for companies to make local cry for your patronage or business and stay in your mind pushing aside the competition.
