One of the things I see lots of Internet Marketers doing is putting their full focus on Google and their search engine rankings, to the exclusion of all other search engines.
Now in your quest for more web 2.0 traffic, I am going to suggest you should broaden your horizons and look at other traffic sources.
At first glance this makes sense because Google do have by far the largest market share i.e. more people use Google for finding what they want on the Internet than any other search engine.
However because more people use it, more advertisers are drawn to it and advertise with Google, so this often brings more competition, and more cost to advertise.
Have you ever considered focusing on some of the less prominent search engine? Or at least putting some focus on them?
Yahoo and MSN are two examples of search engines that still get a considerable number of people using them (obviously not to the level Google does) however, it some cases I have researched there is little and if your really lucky no competition for paid advertising with these search engines in particular niches.
That’s right, it is possible to be the only paid advertiser for a given niche. Of course this can change at any time, and people will get savvier about this as the word gets around.
Imagine if you can get your website listed prominently in these search engines result pages, but also advertising your website using their paid advertising!
Now you will obviously want to ensure you’re also using Google, and focusing on getting good rankings in their search engines results, but don’t ignore these other search engines.
One thing I tell people is to try and bring in as much traffic as you can from as many sources as possible.
I mean would you be happy with 1000 visitors to a day when it quite possibly to increase this by 100% or more by using some of the other traffic sources outlined on this website?
You want as many visitors as possible, don’t you. Sure you want them to be targeted and qualified visitors, and not just random people surfing by (unless you have a fantastic product that everyone in the world would want). If you have such a product let me know, I’d probably want to invest in your company!.
It only takes a little foresight to stretch your horizons. I tell people to spend some time looking at the larger picture and working out where you want your website to be. A visitors perspective is how you should always focus your site. Great content that is relevant to the visitor will push up sales in no time at all!
Make sure you look into other search engines, there could be a gold nugget just waiting for you to come along and mine!

In order for a website to succeed, it should be found in the search engines. Good original content combines with proper back-linking should do the trick. Learn as much SEO as u can. Do searches with keywords like “Search Engine Technology”, “Search Engine Submission Software” and “Earn Money Online”.
Categorize each object as positive or negative based on how it impacts your site. Then clarify why you selected that pointer. Along side the clarification, note whether you have replied or responded to the change.
Decor: This item topic is absolutely hot immediately, containing trendy home items to adorn a baby’s bedroom or dorm room, and fun accompaniments that outfit up school lockers and a adolescent’s first automobile. Adorning a personal space fuels into a youngster’s want to make objects his or her own. No matter what you opt to market to babies, you have to handle the issue of how to keep those little consumers returning to your site.
Choose where you desire to offer your content for sale on your Web site. Then plaster in the cipher. Once you plaster the cipher into your site, the digital content is obtainable for instant buy.
If a client has a genuine objection, others typically spread swiftly alongside it. If your buying benefits sent by means of e-mail or targeted mail has gone overlooked, you have a complication. A constant decline in the reply rate to these kinds of offers typically means that clients are browsing somewhere else or are aggravated since the offers don’t address their needs.”
The kind of item that you vend could decide how you engage, or market to, parents. One of the best illustrations of a item choosing the parents’ role is clothes. Seldom do youthful kids visit online clothes sites.
One of the most elementary details of online business engages grasping the written word. What might you do if you acquire an e-mail from a client in a language that you don’t comprehend, for illustration? Luckily, you have few options in battling language impediments.
You might set tiny messages or links on the home page to let clients sneak peek new plans. Add an notification to your site to let individuals know while to anticipate a new layout. Check out the Msn!
You might turn around even this circumstance, nonetheless. One plan is to enlarge your item line to address your clients’ next set of needs. If you vend garments to anticipative mommies, for illustration, you could add objects particularly for kids.
You might follow how a client who clicked in reply to Promotion A may have checked out 3 or 4 more Sites on your site and replied to Promotion B for something entirely variant. This input gets to be relatively effective as you plan future promotions and compute out what you could combine. While you depend on these computerized instruments, you boost other aids, too: Your wage earners might invest more time on other parts of the business instead of create e-mails and tally outcomes.
You should try to know everything you can about improving search rankings. “Advertise In Search Engines” will be a good search phrase to start with. It is usually worth it when doing research that you do more than one search. Try “Where To Submit Articles” too.

If you want free search engine traffic from the search engines then the first step is to get your website indexed by the search engines. As long as your site is not indexed by Google, Yahoo and MSN, these search engines wont even know that your site exists.
There are SEO services online that claim that they can get your website indexed by hundreds of search engines. But they charge you good money for doing this. To tell you the truth, most of these services are not good. You can get your site indexed for free.
In my opinion, there are only three search engines on the internet; Google, Yahoo and MSN. The other so called search engines have so little traffic that you can ignore them. Focus on Google, Yahoo and MSN. Google is the most important search engine. In fact, it is the search engine. If your website is not indexed by Google than forget about getting search engine traffic. Google gets more than 60% of the search engine traffic and its share of the global internet searches is on the rise. Ignore it at your peril!
Yahoo is the second more frequented search engine on the internet and it get around 30% of the search traffic. Yahoo can be a source of lot of free traffic for your site.
MSN is the baby search engine. It gets around 10% of the search traffic on the internet. But the good thing about MSN is that it is easy to get ranked on it. The conversion rate on MSN is 3 times better than Google. Maybe the people who go on MSN are not that internet savvy.
Use the Google Webmaster Tools to submit the URL and sitemap of your site to Google. Googlebot will index your site in a few days.
Yahoo has its own Yahoo Explorer service. Open an account. Submit your site and its RSS feed. Yahoo takes a bit long in indexing a site. But once you have submitted your site, dont worry much. Your site will be in the Yahoo index in around a months time.
MSN has a free URL submit page. Use it to submit the URL of your site. Also click on the Webmaster link on the bottom of each MSN search page. Submit the URL of your site here as well. Getting your site indexed by these three major search engines should be your focus. Rest of the search engines exist only in name and will be a waste of your time.

The case of MailPost is a clear example of an innovative business model, whereby its Unique Selling Proposition (USP) was actually a franchisee investing and having a stake in the MailPost business, thus offering a higher level of guaranteed service than what was available through an employee or contractor model that was the norm. This USP during a GFC also became the "Achilles Heel" as recruitment of franchisees practically came to a standstill. MailPost relied on a recruitment schedule to establish the mailpost letterbox distribution service on a National basis. Whilst the CEO had a track record of positive growth and profits prior to the GFC and maintained a positive attitude towards a solution to get through the crisis, this leader was not supported but was rather asked to step aside.
Mailpost
There is no doubt that the recent Global Financial Crisis had a huge impact on many CEO's around the world whether their business was established or in a start up phase. Stress levels reached new heights for leaders as the economic pressure were felt.
Successful Leaders anticipate change, vigorously exploit opportunities, motivate their followers to higher levels of productivity, correct poor performance, and lead the organisation toward its objectives.
A review of the leadership literature, in fact, led two academics to conclude that the research shows consistent effect for leadership, explaining 20 to 45% of the variance on relevant organisational outcomes.
Training and the effectiveness of leadership programs vary. They will because the programs themselves are so diverse. Moreover, people learn in different ways. Because some leadership programs are better than others and because some people participate in programs that are poorly matched to their needs and learning style, we should expect leadership-training effectiveness to have a spotty record. So decision makers need to be careful in choosing leadership training experiences for their managers. But they shouldn't conclude that all leadership training is a waste of money.
In conclusion we say that leadership training is a more positive feature provided it is imparted to managers who have come up in the organisation to a certain level by their natural ability and the leadership training will definitely hone their skills to achieve much better performance and capable of taking higher responsibilities.

WHO WANTS TO BE A LEADER?
LEADERSHIP TRAINING - IS IT NECESSARY?
Organisations spend billions of dollars on leadership training every year. They send managers and manager-wannabes to a wide range of leadership training activities, formal MBA programs, leadership seminars, weekend retreats, and even outward bound adventures. They even appoint mentors but much of this effort to train leaders is probably a waste of money. Let's base our thoughts on looking at two fundamental assumptions that underlie leadership training.
Mailpost
The first assumption is that we think we know what leadership is?
Experts cannot agree if leadership is a genetic trait, a characteristic, a behavior, a role, a style, an ability or a learned attribute. Further, they cannot even agree on whether leaders really make a difference in organisational outcomes. For instance, some experts have persuasively argued that leadership is merely an attribution made to explain organisational successes and failures, which themselves occur by chance. Leaders are the people who get credit for successes and take the blame for failures, but they may actually have influence over organisational outcomes.
Mailpost
The second basic assumption is that we can train people to lead. The evidence here is not very encouraging. We do seem to be able to teach individuals about leadership. Unfortunately findings indicate we are not so good at teaching to lead.
Mailpost
There are several possible explanations. To the degree that personality is a critical element in leadership effectiveness; some people may not have been born with the right personality traits. A second explanation is that there is no evidence that individuals can substantially alter their basic leadership style. A third possibility is that even if certain theories could actually guide individuals in leadership situations and even if individuals could alter their style, the complexity of those make it nearly impossible for any normal human being to assimilate all the variables and be capable of enacting the right behaviors in every situation.
Mailpost
Leadership training exists, and is a multibillion-dollar industry, because it works to some degree. Most Leaders would agree that although some knowledge is gained during atraining session, for the most part it is the confidence to lead that is greatly enhanced. Leaders are decision makers which are rational and emotional beings.
Mailpost
Would a company like General Electric spend literally tens-of-millions of dollars each year on leadership training if it did not expect a handsome return? I don't think so! And the ability to lead successfully is why companies pay CEO's millions and in some case over $100 million to ensure the success of the enterprise. Under their leadership, many companies have experienced spectacular growth including shareholder gains.
Mailpost
While there are certainly disagreements over the exact definition of leadership, most academics and business people agree that leadership is an influential process whereby an individual, by his or her actions, facilitates the movement of a group of people toward the achievement of a common goal. Ensuring that the group have a culture of working together in a Team spirit and respecting their leader is of prime importance.
Mailpost
Do Leaders affect organisational outcomes in all situations?
For instance, the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) resulted in the collapse of large financial institutions, the bailout of banks by national governments and downturns in stock markets around the world. In many areas, the housing market has also suffered, resulting in numerous evictions, foreclosures and prolonged vacancies. It is considered by many economists to be the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Mailpost It contributed to the failure of key businesses, declines in consumer wealth, substantial financial commitments incurred by governments, and a significant decline in economic activity. Many causes have been proposed, with varying weight assigned by experts. Both market-based and regulatory solutions have been implemented or are under consideration, while significant risks remain for the world economy over the 2010-2011 periods.
Mailpost
National business's like MailPost (franchised delivery Network) and many others in a start up phase launched their services during the GFC. In this case a high growth cycle practically came to a standstill. Mr Peter Kritas, the CEO and founder of MailPost Australia Limited from July 2006 till March 2009, was asked to step aside and allow new management to take over the Leadership of MailPost during a very critical period. During difficult situations, it is not uncommon to lose confidence in the Leadership and change management to try and fix the situation. This sort of behaviour should always be exercised with caution as it can do more harm than good. There are clearly some business situations that are beyond any Leaders ability to rectify and wasting time and resource in a change of management is not the best option. In many cases Leaders need more support during a crisis from their management Team to maintain confidence.
