Aside from its popularity, pay per click marketing indeed looks promising when it comes to earning good profit online. From high volume of traffic to your site, to getting good placements on the paid listings on search engines of course, these are things a business would want to have online to get maximum profit, but what about its drawbacks? Why do some PPC campaigns fail?
Let it be known that this advertising called pay per click does have some serious issues, and it is important that business owners should know about these issues and pitfalls.
To easily understand pay per click and its drawbacks, below are the major issues that should be kept in mind to avoid failures in pay per click.
● Cost. Implementing a pay per click campaign can hurt your budget if not properly done and if not being careful with it. In Yahoo! for example, setting your campaign to ‘auto bid’ might give you more harm than good, as it automatically increases your bid to maintain your rankings. In PPC, you might also be competing for a keyword which will not give you your targeted results.
● Hard to measure the Return on Investment (ROI). In pay per click, you need to determine how many of the clicks to your website have been converted to sales of your product, and determining the revenue you gain per investment on PPC may be difficult. Conversion tracker may however be helpful on this aspect.
● Useless traffic. Yes, pay per click may bring you large volume of traffic in an instant but are these the people you need for your business? In pay per click, it is wise to get good traffic from major search engines to attract targeted audience. But somehow, in PPC, there is traffic that is not helpful in your campaign.
● This marketing initiative will not scale. This means that the moment your site gets more traffic, you pat more money and cost per click is the same but overall cost will definitely increase.
These reasons should drive you to be cautious when dealing with marketing thru pay per click. For sure this kind of advertising will help, if done responsibly.

You may be interested to buy those traffic blasting software in the market but please don’t ever believe in buying a list. The fact that this kind of head count doesn’t come to you directly and willingly will prove you still can’t sell or please everybody in the list. Worse, you never know whether the people in the list have given consent to their addresses getting sold around, which is normally NOT the case.
The loyalty of your subscribers must be earned when it is a legal obligation to make it very easy for them to opt-out!
Buying expired or unavailable domains is a smart move. It’s like people going to a shop when it has already closed down and they suddenly teleport (redirect page) to your shop. Once you bought it, make sure the web host company doesn’t own it (YOU own it) and you can always transfer the domain to a cheaper host. Do a search for ‘purchase expired domains’ and you get good leads. I suggest WebExpired.com.
Buy domains with the right keywords related to your business. People going to an invalid hair gel site are not going to buy an e-book on viral marketing.
And of course, those cyber-squatters who make a living out of buying and selling domain names (read: GOOD keywords) are playing a different ball game altogether.

In the years I’ve invested myself in dedication to the business of Internet Marketing, I’ve observed that though technologies and different fields of expertise appear and recede overtime like any other ever-changing business outlook, only timeless, universal principles remain.
The first and foremost characteristic of Internet Marketing is automation. Alex Mandossian once said that “Internet Marketing is meant to train us as lazy workers but high thinkers.” We are constantly thinking of better ways to attain 100% automation, which is near impossible, for thinking itself is already hard work.
Despite this, Internet Marketing may not be simple, but it is definitely very systematic in nature, such that it is really an easy business to do due to the availability of metrics software for performance measurement. By knowing and understanding results-by-the-numbers, Internet marketers can tweak and re-launch sales and marketing campaigns for better returns. This is not something that brick-and-mortar businesses are capable of and ready to embrace as part of their daily business handling activities.
Coming back to principles, here are 10 things you can always bear in mind as you go about doing your business online. Even if you are attempting one niche after another (and that’s what some self-employed do these days), following a certain entrepreneurial pattern based on principles can help you get into the thick of action easily and systematically.
1) Provide lots of quality content on your website. The litmus test is: Would you freely publish something that you would otherwise sell?
2) Be tight, comprehensive and cohesive about your site theme. For example, your site may be about dogs rather than dog collars, which is a smaller, more focused niche. Nonetheless, you can design and implement a clear structure with different sections covering dog training, dog hygiene, dog naming, dog psychology, doggy habits, etc. You can aim for a portal or library of information and it can still not be confusing.
3) Setup a blog. You heard this many time: “Search engines love blogs.” Well, go and create one, link it up to your main site, publish snippets of information and send out RSS feeds. Search engines will find you fast!
4) Create a plan of using traffic exchanges, safelists, FFA lists etc. to draw traffic to your site. I, like many people, did not believe that you can funnel targeted traffic from these places, until I came across a few experts in this area.
5) Build a lead capture page offering a powerful freebie, an e-course or a reason visitors can’t refuse…on condition they must subscribe to you.
6) Create free materials like viral e-books to give away. Write articles and e-courses and submit everywhere you can. Reuse your articles to suit every possible form of online and offline media. Just keep your eyes open. What goes around always comes around. You are bound to be famous on the Internet in 6 months if not a year. Or start an article/free e-book directory service yourself! You can attract more writers and material seekers with the most minimal of effort.
7) Get your visitors and subscribers involved with YOU. Give them a role, a stake or control over the content of your site, forum, chat room, online survey or newsletter etc. You can sustain their interest and effectively build up not only traffic volume but also the quality of customer relationships overtime. The noblest yet most challenging thing to do is finding ways to build up their own monetary value. That’s what Jay Abraham, Bob Proctor and many other experts do.
Create an affiliate program for your products and services to encourage affiliates bring new referrals to you! It’s a great way to get targeted newcomers to your site.
9) Create postcards with your e-zine information and business cards to hand out at events. Also print out articles and hand them around at events (which must be appropriate in context). Your signature at the articles’ end leads them to your site. Show them you are the expert here!
10) One great way to multiply subscriber addresses in your list is invite fellow online marketers to swap e-zine ads with you. Many marketers know the benefit of this, and it’s free and easy to implement. All it takes is mutual agreement on how often and how many times to publish each other’s ads!
Yes, there is a lot of work involved, these 10 points are only general and the devil is in the details. But you see, even though I’m no SEO or link exchange techie, I am carrying out all 10 points in my daily work and with continuous measurement of my results my income has nowhere else to go but up as I optimize the monetary value of my effort. Ultimately I am doing what these 10 points say because they can sustain online longevity.
When you seriously put them into practice, turning your actions into regular habits is only a matter of time. In one year, your situation will be much better than where you are today, and all you need to do is create a system of productive action based on these 10 points. This is my encouragement to you.

There are actually many things business owners and advertisers love about pay per click ( PPC) marketing. If it is properly done and researched, it will give you a large volume of visitors surfing your site in no time. So if you have a website for your business that needs a little push, you can engage in PPC marketing and see how it makes such a difference.
When you get to know your potentials financially and invest on getting into pay per click marketing, this will give you good benefits by also promoting your site in search engines. In the online world, being on the top spot of the search engine page means more site visitors, more customers and increased profit.
One thing that business owners love about PPC is that, it can also work very fast that you can see a surge of traffic to your site a few minutes after you sign up for an account. It is also a flexible marketing strategy.
Flexibility in doing pay per click advertising is also very favorable for advertisers and online marketers. With PPC campaigns being changeable, you can adjust and improve your campaign in no time and save you money in testing your marketing campaign.
When engaged in PPC marketing, a good market research will help you find services that are not costly and those that are priced just reasonably.
Good market research can also help you in finding keyword niches that won’t require much investment. You can even find niches that cost only a dollar or less.
With these capabilities of pay per click marketing, it could be something you cannot afford to disregard. There are many marketing options as well, but pay per click has not gained popularity for nothing. Pay per click has been known to create traffic in no time, at a cheaper price.
There might be some negative issues about pay per click, but if the benefits of this tool outweigh these issues, and if you will learn to maximize its capabilities, you may find pay per click more ‘lovable’.

Life is beautiful. Did you see the movie, Beautiful Mind? It was about Professor John Nash who was a pioneer in Game Theory. He was awarded a Nobel Prize. Every moment of your life is beautiful. Develop new passions. Learn new things.
Just like by buying tennis racquet or a golf set wont make you a good tennis or a gold player. When as a boy, I started playing tennis; I was a very poor player. Good tennis player would not play with me. But I had an ambition to become a good tennis player.
So, I would do wall practice and practice and practice. In the beginning my ball control was very poor. My service was so poor that I would be ashamed to play with good players.
But I had a determination. I had an ambition. I would dream of becoming a very good tennis players and defeating every other good player who played against me. With practice, learning and determination, I became a good tennis player.
Becoming a successful forex trader should be your dream. Learn everything you can about forex. Practice and practice! Dont rush.
A good forex trading course is must for you for understanding the forex markets and for future reference. Go through the course form finish to the start again and again, many times. Pause, ponder and think on every detail given in it.
The most important steps for you to grasp is to how to identify the behavior of the market at a certain point in time. You can only do this by learning Technical Analysis.
Learn what the lagging indicators and what are the leading indicators. Lagging indicators depend on the past behavior of price action. Leading indicators predict the future likely course of the prices in the market.
Grasp how support and resistance works. You should have a pretty good knowledge about EMAs, SMAs, MACD, Bollinger Bands, ADX, etc. Pivot Points are used by many successful traders to determine entry and exit in the market. Understand the use of Pivot Points.
Many traders dont give much importance to money management principles. Money management is the most important thing for a successful trader to know and understand. Never ever put more than 1% of your equity on risk in a single trade.

Classified advertisement is a category of advertisement particularly tuned to meet the common mans advertising needs. The main advantage of classified advertising over the traditional one is that it is cheap and anybody can post an advertisement. Thus, private tutors and parents of children who need tutoring can find each other through classified ads. In the print media, such ads are classified into different categories to make it easy browsing for the pursuer.
The main categories one would usually find in the classified ad section of a newspaper are real estate, rent, automotive, pets and situations vacant etc. Certain magazines and papers like “Freeads” and “Admag” are dedicated entirely to listing classified ads. These ads are also found in the yellow pages section of many popular publications.
Sometimes these ads are found to be frugal in their use of words and phrases while at other times they are descriptive in nature. There might be ads that make quote very general information that gives a general idea about kind or class of product or service without going into details. At other times, these ads may be in rich detail and list out specifics about the product or service thereby allowing the ad browser to make a more informed decision.
The cost of an ad is calculated based on the number of words or letters used, the type and size of the font used, the space occupied by the advertisement on a page. There are additional factors that contribute to an increase in the price like the inclusion of graphics or highlighting of the ad space or even the positioning and placement of the ad box on a page.
The classified ads industry generates an annual income close to 100 billion dollars worldwide. This is not just from the ads displayed in the printed media though. There are television channels that air classified advertisements during non prime time slots. Cable television operators also make a quick buck out of selling local precuts of the cable network in the neighborhood. Radio stations also air advertisements in between programs that are sometimes funny and ear catching.
The huge popularity of the internet and the enormous resources that it gives access to has given rise to online advertising solutions that are giving the traditional classified advertising promoted by newspapers and the print media, a run for their money.
Free websites that charge nothing for posting an advertisement on their portal are viewed as distinctly more advantageous than newspaper classified ads, as they offer instant reach to millions of users and are indexed for browsing and easy searching across a variety of criteria. The revenue for these sites is in turn generated from the clicks that are made on other ads that are on display as well as the traffic they generate for other websites.
The advantages in ease of use and access to these web based advertising options have increasingly overshadowed the archaic and cumbersome process of advertising through the printed media. As the enormous resources of the internet and its access and appeal to the common man increase day by day, the threat that it poses to traditional forms of advertising increases proportionately.

Internet marketing has become the buzz word in this recession. People need extra money to pay their mortgage bills and supplement their income. Many people want to succeed at it. In my opinion, if you take internet marketing as a hobby, you will enjoy it, have fun and make money as well.
But many people fail at it. They don’t know where to start. They hop from one program to another. Joining a new bandwagon every month. Look, this is the best way to fail. If you want to succeed than you should take a solid start and don’t expect to see results in the first 2-3 months.
If you are really interested at succeeding at making money online, than don’t expect to see results in the first 2-3 months. Avoid programs that don’t have money back guarantee. Join, one program, that promises to make you succeed and give you a money back guarantee for something like 60 days.
One of the best methods to make money online is through blogging. Yeah, many people blog as a hobby. They write very interesting and informative posts on topics they are passionate. Over time, people start visiting their blog. Number of daily visitors increase.
When you will write interesting and informative posts on your blog, people will start visiting your blog. They will come back again and again. You have an audience now. Promote a few products that you think are relevant to your blog. Write a few product reviews. You are on your way to making money online.
This is a free method. But many will ask how long it will take? If you are passionate and write at least one post daily, not more than two months! But many people want to succeed in days what to talk of weeks.
When you start your blog, think that you are doing it as a hobby. Write on a topic that you enjoy and makes you passionate. If you are interested in sports, start writing on sports. Talk about your favorite players, major tournaments. With the passage of time, people will start visiting your blog.
Don’t need to spend a single cent to start your blog. Head over to Blogger. Google loves Bloggers. It will host the blog free for you. You only have to write. Rest of the things will be taken care of by Google. Don’t buy domains and waste money on hosting charges.
Google loves blogspot blogs. If you are consistent in writing daily, Google will start loving your blog. It will index your blog in minutes and start giving you free traffic from its search engine. Imagine, millions of people search Google everyday for information.
This is how, I had succeeded at internet marketing. I choose a topic that I was passionate about. Wrote good psots consistently on daily basis. Google started loving my blog. I get hundreds of free visitors from Google Search every day.
It was fun for me. I used my passions and wrote on a topic that would give me enjoyment. Writing every new post was fun for me. In a few months, my blog was on top of many keywords on Google Search.
This is the method that you can also use. It will not cost you a single cent. However, this is not the only method to make money online. There are many methods. You can uase other methods also to succeed.

Is your business looking for a better way to promote their products and services? If so, then perhaps you should consider using logo golf balls. Many of your clients will most definitely use logo golf balls in the future and contrary to popular belief golf most definitely helps individuals decrease the amount of stress that is associated with work.
In this article we will look at using a golf ball as the carrier of your message. We will examine the origin of this practice and see how it is practiced today. You will gain some additional insight into your options in selecting a logo golf ball.
The trend of giving golf balls for free started in the 1960s when a golf magazine decided to give out golf balls at no cost to people who subscribed to the magazine for one year. Decades later, the golf magazine is no longer in circulation but the trend of giving out golf balls as promotional items is still very much alive today - not only in magazines but many other companies and organizations as well. And nowadays do companies not only give out logo golf balls but also related logo products such as golf ball sleeves, tubes, tees and even bags. Since golf is a symbol of accomplishment, status and class companies who give out promotional golf items are usually associated with sophistication, grace and elegance.
Golf balls are not just white anymore.
At one time golf balls were only able to be purchased in the traditional color of white and as a set of three. Even though the original boxes of three are still quite popular there are other selections available.
Presently, however, you have a choice: You can choose to give multicolored golf balls to match the color scheme of your company or brand. (Although colorful golf balls may be fun these may not be appreciated by your golfing customers–colored balls are much harder to see if they blend well with the environment or greens.) You can make you make your free golf balls fun and usable as well by incorporating your brightly colored logo on white golf balls. This way, you retain your company’s identity without compromising the usability of the golf balls.
You must realize that there are several different types of golf balls that are now available. If you have ample funds to purchase the better types of golf balls available as your promotional items, then you will will look at your company in a new light and with more appreciation. However, if you do not have the funds to put into these higher-quality golf balls, then your clients will appreciate them just as much when they are out on the golf course using them.
By the way, if your company is a proponent of the environment, you can also find golf balls that are environment friendly. Although this type of golf ball is a bit more expensive than the regular ones, your customers will surely appreciate your effort in helping promote environmentally friendly items.
Apart from logo golf balls, the promotional products industry has developed a number of golfing-related packages containing a mix of other items that are related to this extremely popular sport. These include:
A nice set of golf ball with tees as well as a towel packaged in a nice golf tube.
Some golfers may be constrained to their back yard, which make the Birdie Ball an extremely popular gift.
Many companies will sponsor golfing tournaments in their community and if this is the case, then perhaps you should consider canvas golf flags, which come in a variety of colors.
This has been a brief review of the application of logo golf balls to business promotion. We believe the golf ball remains an important conveyor of the company brand and message.

The case of MailPost is a clear example of an innovative business model, whereby its Unique Selling Proposition (USP) was actually a franchisee investing and having a stake in the MailPost business, thus offering a higher level of guaranteed service than what was available through an employee or contractor model that was the norm. This USP during a GFC also became the "Achilles Heel" as recruitment of franchisees practically came to a standstill. MailPost relied on a recruitment schedule to establish the mailpost letterbox distribution service on a National basis. Whilst the CEO had a track record of positive growth and profits prior to the GFC and maintained a positive attitude towards a solution to get through the crisis, this leader was not supported but was rather asked to step aside.
Mailpost
There is no doubt that the recent Global Financial Crisis had a huge impact on many CEO's around the world whether their business was established or in a start up phase. Stress levels reached new heights for leaders as the economic pressure were felt.
Successful Leaders anticipate change, vigorously exploit opportunities, motivate their followers to higher levels of productivity, correct poor performance, and lead the organisation toward its objectives.
A review of the leadership literature, in fact, led two academics to conclude that the research shows consistent effect for leadership, explaining 20 to 45% of the variance on relevant organisational outcomes.
Training and the effectiveness of leadership programs vary. They will because the programs themselves are so diverse. Moreover, people learn in different ways. Because some leadership programs are better than others and because some people participate in programs that are poorly matched to their needs and learning style, we should expect leadership-training effectiveness to have a spotty record. So decision makers need to be careful in choosing leadership training experiences for their managers. But they shouldn't conclude that all leadership training is a waste of money.
In conclusion we say that leadership training is a more positive feature provided it is imparted to managers who have come up in the organisation to a certain level by their natural ability and the leadership training will definitely hone their skills to achieve much better performance and capable of taking higher responsibilities.

Organisations spend billions of dollars on leadership training every year. They send managers and manager-wannabes to a wide range of leadership training activities, formal MBA programs, leadership seminars, weekend retreats, and even outward bound adventures. They even appoint mentors but much of this effort to train leaders is probably a waste of money. Let's base our thoughts on looking at two fundamental assumptions that underlie leadership training.

The first assumption is that we think we know what leadership is?
Experts cannot agree if leadership is a genetic trait, a characteristic, a behavior, a role, a style, an ability or a learned attribute. Further, they cannot even agree on whether leaders really make a difference in organisational outcomes. For instance, some experts have persuasively argued that leadership is merely an attribution made to explain organisational successes and failures, which themselves occur by chance. Leaders are the people who get credit for successes and take the blame for failures, but they may actually have influence over organisational outcomes.

The second basic assumption is that we can train people to lead. The evidence here is not very encouraging. We do seem to be able to teach individuals about leadership. Unfortunately findings indicate we are not so good at teaching to lead.

There are several possible explanations. To the degree that personality is a critical element in leadership effectiveness; some people may not have been born with the right personality traits. A second explanation is that there is no evidence that individuals can substantially alter their basic leadership style. A third possibility is that even if certain theories could actually guide individuals in leadership situations and even if individuals could alter their style, the complexity of those make it nearly impossible for any normal human being to assimilate all the variables and be capable of enacting the right behaviors in every situation.

Leadership training exists, and is a multibillion-dollar industry, because it works to some degree. Most Leaders would agree that although some knowledge is gained during atraining session, for the most part it is the confidence to lead that is greatly enhanced. Leaders are decision makers which are rational and emotional beings.

Would a company like General Electric spend literally tens-of-millions of dollars each year on leadership training if it did not expect a handsome return? I don't think so! And the ability to lead successfully is why companies pay CEO's millions and in some case over $100 million to ensure the success of the enterprise. Under their leadership, many companies have experienced spectacular growth including shareholder gains.

While there are certainly disagreements over the exact definition of leadership, most academics and business people agree that leadership is an influential process whereby an individual, by his or her actions, facilitates the movement of a group of people toward the achievement of a common goal. Ensuring that the group have a culture of working together in a Team spirit and respecting their leader is of prime importance.

Do Leaders affect organisational outcomes in all situations?
For instance, the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) resulted in the collapse of large financial institutions, the bailout of banks by national governments and downturns in stock markets around the world. In many areas, the housing market has also suffered, resulting in numerous evictions, foreclosures and prolonged vacancies. It is considered by many economists to be the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Mailpost It contributed to the failure of key businesses, declines in consumer wealth, substantial financial commitments incurred by governments, and a significant decline in economic activity. Many causes have been proposed, with varying weight assigned by experts. Both market-based and regulatory solutions have been implemented or are under consideration, while significant risks remain for the world economy over the 2010-2011 periods.

National business's like MailPost (franchised delivery Network) and many others in a start up phase launched their services during the GFC. In this case a high growth cycle practically came to a standstill. Mr Peter Kritas, the CEO and founder of MailPost Australia Limited from July 2006 till March 2009, was asked to step aside and allow new management to take over the Leadership of MailPost during a very critical period. During difficult situations, it is not uncommon to lose confidence in the Leadership and change management to try and fix the situation. This sort of behaviour should always be exercised with caution as it can do more harm than good. There are clearly some business situations that are beyond any Leaders ability to rectify and wasting time and resource in a change of management is not the best option. In many cases Leaders need more support during a crisis from their management Team to maintain confidence.
