Simple SEO Tricks

Friday, April 10th, 2009

Search engine optimization (SEO) is thought to be tough, difficult and time consuming by many. In this article, you can learn a few very simple SEO tricks that work very well on Google. Use these tricks to get your blog post ranked for a particular keyword.

Good ranking for a blog post means lots of traffic. Using these simple tricks, I have been able to get my blog posts ranked on the top of that particular keyword within a few hours by Google.

But before these trick starts working, you need to have at least 50 posts on your blog. Once your blog post reach more than 50, Google will start considering you a serious blogger.

Google loves blogs. Blogs means fresh content. Google usually indexing a blog post much faster than a webpage! In my case, my blog gets indexed in five minutes after I publish my post.

Choose a keyword that you want to get your blog post ranked before writing the post. It is very important that you use that keyword in the title of that post.

The first sentence of the post should contain that keyword. Use that keyword in the post a number of times. But the keyword density should not be more than 4% in the content.

Use that keyword as anchor text for a link three or four times in the post. Bold the link. Use the keyword in the URL of that post like http:// www. Yourdomain.com/keyword, you can easily do this in both wordpress and blogger.

In case of blogger, you cannot change the URL of the post after you have published the post. So use the keyword in the title. Publish the post. Edit and change the title again if you want. But it should still contain the keyword.

This way you are telling Google; hey this is the keyword for this post. I have used these simple tricks for getting top ranking for keywords having 100,000 to 1000,000 competing webpages.

What Google Wants?

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Google dominates the internet. It is single most visited website/search engine globally. Do you know this thing that everyday more than 200 million searches are made on Google? Googles share of the search engine searches is something close to 78%.

Why people love Google? Because Google provides them with the latest good quality information that they are seeking. Google does that by ranking the websites that it considers to be the best for that search.

If you compare Google with other major search engines like Yahoo and MSN then you will realize that the website that Google ranks are more relevant to that keyword than Yahoo and MSN.

When you start a blog or a website, you want people to visit your blog or website. Making a website is not enough to get visitors to your site. The important thing is to promote your site.

If want lots of people to visit your site than, you need a good ranking on Google on its search pages. This is the only way to get thousands of visitors to your site.

The actual truth is this that Google loves to see good quality content on websites. Page Rank is important but if there is a website with 0 Page Rank that Google thinks has more relevant quality content on it, Google will rank that website higher.

Content has always been and it will always be the king. Google is only interested in providing quality content to its users.

Google algorithm is so accurate that it immediately can detect good content from bad content. So, content is the king.

Even if you get a good ranking for your site for the time being, you will observe that people will visit your site but will not like to stay more than a few seconds if the content on your site is boring or poor.

This is in short what Google want and what you need to understand. Google likes website with quality content that gives good user experience. If your website has good content, you will find that people would also love to visit your site repeatedly.

Niche Socializer Reviewed

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

I’m sure you have heard of sites like Facebook and Twitter. They’re well-known as social networking communities. These portals let people form an internet community to share their knowledge about stuff they are interested in.

This is great, but what truly counts for Online marketers is that communities of people who are passionately interested in something can be a gold mine… if you can figure out a way to market to this group of people without making them to leave.

And the makings to turn people off has been genuine road block for people who try to marketing to communities, using what is called social marketing.

Community sites like MySpace will flat-out run you off. There are some web 2.0 sites that won’t but the downside is they could change the guidelines when ever they like to and cut off your earnings stream. Not good. Till now, creating your own community site has been like twisting yourself into a pretzel.

This is going to switch everything. Why? Because it does make building profitable community sites a simple task. The software was built by a team commissioned by two experienced and successful Internet marketers (Andrew X and Steven Lee Jones). They wanted a platform that makes it easy to set up a community site in any niche they selected. Boy, they have been successful.

This software makes fun to use. Wizards walk you through setting everything up. And it is possible to build some great community sites, with all of the knobs and whistles. I’m talking about built-in forums, integrated business directories, and professional sign-up features that make you look as great as My Space. You want it, you can create it. So you do not have to worry about building a site you will not be proud of. That might actually be hard to do with Niche Socializer.

But again, what truly matters is the profit you could generate with this platform, and that is where Niche Socializer truly shines.

It’s clear that Andrew & Steven had monetization in mind from the beginning, as it is absolutely natural to build in multiple earning streams.

It starts with the ultimately flexible membership features. They have hit a home run here. You can set up free test memberships, different membership types, flexible charges, just about anything you can imagine. But it does not stop there. You have the possibilities, for example, to build in your own classified advertisments section and charge your members to publish their ads.

Or you are able to build in ad rotation on your site so your visitors will see unobtrusive, context-sensitive advertisements they’ll like.

You are even able to sell your own products from within your website. The shop module makes it so easy you will not believe it.

And you’ll own every website you build (you can set up 3 included in the purchase price, and more for a tiny member rate after that). Every website is one hundred percent your own, and you could even resell them if you wish.

Best of all, Niche Socializer integrates seamlessly with PayPal and 2CheckOut, 2 of the most popular (and easiest) payment processors on the internet.

It will take you just five mins to install the software. Then all you have to do is configure it. And Andrew and Steven make that easy as well.

They include straight forward video training on everything from installing Niche Socializer to how to use email marketing to squeeze maximum profits out of your membership. The quality is wonderful.

Even better, their support is outstanding. They won’t simply leave you hanging after you purchased.

They give their own members ongoing webinars where they answer submitted questions, and they give real tech support when you need it via an email. You can submit your support tickets 24/7, and you will get a real answer, from a live human being, usually within twenty-four hours.

I can’t think of a better, more complete, more administrator-friendly platform to let you jump on the community wave.

Even better, they’ll let you prove that to yourself. You can prove Niche Socializer for 30days and prove you can make it work for you.

I can not recommend this strongly enough if you are interested in earning cash from web 2.0.

Build One Way Back Links To Your Website (Part I)

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

A good link building strategy is must if you want your website to get good ranking by the search engines. Having a website is not enough. As long as your website is not thousands of back links from quality website, search engines are not going to take notice of your site.

Google Page Rank Algorithm determines the importance of a website by counting the number of back links that website gets from other popular site. You need a good link building strategy in order to start getting good ranking from Google.

Reciprocal link exchange was popular in the past. Google does not give much importance to reciprocal links in ranking now. Many Reciprocal Link Exchanges are popular. Then there is a method known as Three Way Link.

The only effective method in my opinion is to build one way back links to your site and that too thousands of them.

What should be your link building strategy that can give you thousands of quality back links? One method that has worked in the past and still works is writing good articles and submitting them to different article directories.

Article marketing has been and is still the time tested method of driving traffic and build links for your site. Other methods have come and gone but this method still works and in fact is getting more popular.

But you need to write good informative articles if you want people to read your articles and click on your links. These links will also be counted as back links by the search engines. However, you cannot submit the same article to different directories. It will be treated as duplicate content.

Article Marketing is a successful link building strategy that can take a few months to start giving results. The problem is how you will write different article for each directory.

Internet marketers have figured out a way around this method. They write three to four version of the same article and submit, spin them with software that generates hundreds of unique versions, they than use software to submit these unique versions to hundreds of directories and ezines.

You can purchase that software online. You can also join an Article Submission Service online for a monthly fee. There are many. Some good, other not so good.

If you use this service you will get hundreds of quality back links for each article submission. Each article will be a unique version and chances are if your article is picked up one of the search engines, you can get lots of traffic for your site.

Get Search Engines Index Your Website

Monday, April 6th, 2009

If you want free search engine traffic from the search engines then the first step is to get your website indexed by the search engines. As long as your site is not indexed by Google, Yahoo and MSN, these search engines wont even know that your site exists.

There are SEO services online that claim that they can get your website indexed by hundreds of search engines. But they charge you good money for doing this. To tell you the truth, most of these services are not good. You can get your site indexed for free.

In my opinion, there are only three search engines on the internet; Google, Yahoo and MSN. The other so called search engines have so little traffic that you can ignore them. Focus on Google, Yahoo and MSN. Google is the most important search engine. In fact, it is the search engine. If your website is not indexed by Google than forget about getting search engine traffic. Google gets more than 60% of the search engine traffic and its share of the global internet searches is on the rise. Ignore it at your peril!

Yahoo is the second more frequented search engine on the internet and it get around 30% of the search traffic. Yahoo can be a source of lot of free traffic for your site.

MSN is the baby search engine. It gets around 10% of the search traffic on the internet. But the good thing about MSN is that it is easy to get ranked on it. The conversion rate on MSN is 3 times better than Google. Maybe the people who go on MSN are not that internet savvy.

Use the Google Webmaster Tools to submit the URL and sitemap of your site to Google. Googlebot will index your site in a few days.

Yahoo has its own Yahoo Explorer service. Open an account. Submit your site and its RSS feed. Yahoo takes a bit long in indexing a site. But once you have submitted your site, dont worry much. Your site will be in the Yahoo index in around a months time.

MSN has a free URL submit page. Use it to submit the URL of your site. Also click on the Webmaster link on the bottom of each MSN search page. Submit the URL of your site here as well. Getting your site indexed by these three major search engines should be your focus. Rest of the search engines exist only in name and will be a waste of your time.

How Google Adwords Works?

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Google Adwords is a tough beast. This beast is very difficult to master. But if you can master it, you have hit a goldmine. Dont simply just head over and start a Google Adwords account. Learn to tame this beast before you start your first advertising campaign on Adwords.

What you need to know is that Google will never let you advertise on its system with a poor Click Through Rate (CTR). CTR is very important for the success of your campaign is the number of clicks in 100 impressions your ad will receive. Learn good copy writing skills to write ads that attracts people. Always try to keep a CTR of at least 2% in your campaign.

The most important matrix for you to understand is the Quality Score. Google never tells how Quality Score is calculated exactly but gives you general guidelines. Good QS means very low minimum bid for each click. Quality Score can be Great, OK or Poor. If Quality Score is great, Google can charge you $0.02-0.04 as a minimum bid for your ad to become active.

Quality Score primarily depends on your website. Google likes to see a website that is relevant to the keyword that it is being advertised. If Google thinks that your website is relevant, it will assign your website a great quality score.

Optimize your website before you make a new campaign. Use some SEO. Google likes SEO. Be careful, once Google assigns a quality score to your website, it will not change its opinion afterwards.

First optimize each page of your site for one particular keyword. You will need to do some SEO for that. Only when you are satisfied that your site is relevant, make a new campaign using the optimized page for that keyword. Google likes to see quality content being advertised on its site and does not want to see poor website being advertised. Poor websites means poor user experience that harms Google in the long run.

Ad Rank is another matrix that you need to know. Ad Rank= (CTR) (Your Bid) (Quality Score). You can see; CTR and Quality Score are very important for your success. There is a quality score for each campaign as well as a general quality score of your Google Adwords Account.

Google also maintains a quality score of your general account. Your overall CTR in the account should never ever fall below 1% in my opinion. If your account gets assigned a poor quality score, it will affect your new campaign as well and if your account has a great quality score, Google will reward you more by assigning very low minimum bids for new campaigns as well. Be careful!

But even if you do every thing right, doesnt mean that you are on safer ground. Your can get Google Slap anytime. No one knows the exact reasons for a Google Slap. Google Slap is the way Google uses to tell you to buzz off and dont use Google anymore. Learn to beat Google at its own game with Google Ambush!
